What Confident People Do Differently, the Insecure Don’t
Most of us have a high value of self, which is a good thing.
However, too many of us mistakenly assume that others around us, society, work, culture are judging our every move and so, despite thinking well of ourselves, we still bend and change ourselves to fit in and be accepted.
Confident people are not so flexible and malleable.
They resist the whims of society and do not go where the winds blow.
They are ready, focused, definitive, purpose-driven, undeterred and don’t let others’ successes make them feel inferior or less than.
That’s that.
But what about the rest of us? The overwhelmingly insecure portion of the world.
We are mainly people pleasers.
In one way or the other, we seek validation, from our boss, significant other, friends and the like. We have to keep our jobs, maintain harmony and be willing to compromise but we can do all that and still be ourselves, I think.
That’s how Confident people vary. They have that skill mastered.
The rest of us have a penchant for shape shifting our own moral code, likes, preferences and beliefs.
