The world lost actor, writer and director Chadwick Boseman on August 28 after his 4 year battle with colon cancer. Boseman is well known for his quiet yet regal presence and brining to life some of the most iconic historic figures in American history: US Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall in the biopic “Marshall” , iconic showman James Brown in the movie “Get on Up” and trailblazer Jackie Robinson in “42”.
He is most known as the protraying the very first Black Super hero character to headline its own movie, “The Black Panther” in 2018 as part of Disney’s Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The kicker is that he delivered all opf these roles while battling in the midst of battling a very dangerous disease.
A note on the social media posts announcing his premature death noted that he endured treatments for the disease in between working diligently on some movies, many of which were very grueling and physically taxing on his body.
