StartUps Are Scared of Influencer Marketing

Despite knowing that social media marketing and in paricular, influencer marketing is the key to acquiring customers, generating buzz and establishing a loyal fan base, many StartUps underspend and fray away from that form of marketing.

Marketing is the most important for startups to scale and grow.

A report from Mayple found that acquiring new customers tops the list, with retaining current customers, increasing lifetime value of customers and building a loyal fan base coming in fourth.

Nonetheless, that same survey found that despite being aware of the importance of marketing, almost half of those surveyed spend 2 hours or less on marketing each week.

When it comes to budgeting, most of the funding is on traditional marketing, email marketing and Facebook campaigns.

The budget for social media lags even in the face of most of those survey admitting that the most effective method of attracting new clients is social media marketing.
