PRPros: The Do’s and Don’ts Of Getting Earned Media from Bloggers

I’ve been at this blogging and content creation thing for over two decades and boy have I seen a lot of…um…let’s say, “interesting” pitches from PR Pros looking for coverage of their clients.

I get hundreds each week as an independent publisher.

And because I really Love helping people, right now, I think I want to help out, specifically, Public Relation Professionals who are eager to get influencers and bloggers cover, promote or work with their clients on an earned (not paid) media basis.

I really do think I’ve come into contact with every type of pitch out there and from my experience have come to appreciate the best and loathe the worst.

Also, I was one a publicist myself and owned a boutique firm and represented clients from organizations to a Grammy-nominated recording artist so I know and appreciate the other side or earned media game myself.

That being stated, I’ve come up with a list of Do’s and Don’ts for PR Pros to increase their chances of having their client covered by a blogger.
