People Don’t Get You, Why That’s Okay
If you’re like me, you might have tried to tell a friend, loved one, colleague or relative about this amazing blog or business idea you’re pursuing and were met with tepid reactions.
It might have been discouraging.
After all, aren’t the people closest to us the ones who are supposed to be our biggest cheerleaders?
It can be a tough lesson to learn that not everyone sees the big vision the way we do.
Don’t hold it against them and try, no matter how hard, to shake it off and move on. Mentally, it will be a drain if you get caught into your feelings of disappointment.
That’s emotional time that should be spent on more important things…like you going for it!
I’ve been there.
I recommend you find a community of people who are chasing the same or similar type of dreams and goals you are.
These days, we are lucky to have social media platforms that make it easy to find communities and groups of people that get us and get what we’re trying to do.
Do a quick search, find a group or two, introduce yourself, comb through past posts and settle in.
Soon, you’ll find out that you will care less and less when you don’t get the response from your friends you once craved and sought after.
Onward and upward soldier.
