You didn’t have to serve but you did so for that, thank you!

One day you decided to leave your family and go someplace that would train you the hardest you have ever been trained in your life.

Then you submitted to getting shipped off to far off unknown places where you didn’t speak the language to encounter possible death and injury all because you felt called to serve your country and protect freedoms of those back home!

You made that sacrifice not knowing when you finally finished your tour of duty if things would be the same when you came back, if the mental. and physical injuries you would endure would heal in the entirety, or if you would even have a family to return to, if your children would remember you, if you would be able to get a job, earn a living and live a full and happy life.

Yet you did it and did it proudly and without. question and unconditionally and for that, today, and everyday, I thank you.
